Making Community Through Dance

Laura Orozco Garrett is a professional choreographer, dancer, and teacher based in New Mexico. She is the current Community Education and Pre-Professional Program Manager at Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts, as well as a Company Dancer and member of the Education Faculty. She has performed and choreographed professionally for various companies throughout New Mexico. Catch her performing in Anemoia running November 17th-19th. Tickets here!

Education

Every child deserves an arts education

Laura Orozco Garrett has taught in several schools around New Mexico, including Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, En Pointe School of Dance Los Alamos, Moving Arts Española, and Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts. She is skilled in teaching Ballet and Jazz and focuses on pushing students' technique while instilling a sense of self-confidence and discipline.

Honor and celebrate our stories through dance

Laura Orozco Garrett’s work ranges from contemporary dance to musical theater. In each piece, she aims to create intentional work that conveys a message to the audience, empowers the dancers, and entertains. She has choreographed for the Santa Fe Playhouse, Millennial Music Makers (Tri-M) Santa Fe, Moving Arts Española, and Santa Fe Preparatory School.
